Jimmy Davis

Executive Bench® Consultant


Dr. Jimmy Davis is an Executive Bench® services consultant in RHR International’s Atlanta office. He assesses and develops leaders as they transform organizations to improve performance, agility, effectiveness, and capability. He brings expertise in leadership development, executive coaching, talent management, and diversity to organizations to help them build dynamic and talented leadership teams. Jimmy has worked across industries including retail, consumer packaged goods, banking, finance, healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, energy, and insurance.

Examples of Jimmy’s recent work include:

  • Worked with a Fortune 50 consumer packaged goods organization to assess leadership talent for an organizational structure change.
  • Designed a leadership development plan for senior leaders at a Fortune 100 healthcare company.
  • Coached and developed senior leaders at a Fortune 50 banking organization to improve leadership depth and effectiveness.

Prior to joining RHR International, Jimmy ran an independent consulting firm called Blacksmith Consulting Company where he served as principal consultant. Prior to that, he was associate director at APTMetrics where he was a lead consultant for client deliverables in the job analysis and selection practice. He has also held a wide variety of roles as an executive coach, consultant, and business leadership associate.

Jimmy has significant experience as an assistant and adjunct professor. He has taught classes on industrial/organizational psychology, leadership, organizational behavior, and business policy and strategy at universities including Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, New York University, and Baruch College.

Jimmy is a member of the Society of Industrial Organizational Psychology (SIOP), Southeastern Psychological Association (SEPA), Association of Black Psychologists, and CALIBR Global Leadership Network. He is president of board trustees at Create Your Dreams (CYD), a youth development program dedicated to nurturing the talents and dreams of students living in underserved areas on the west side of Atlanta.
