Charlotte Gerstner Joins RHR International’s San Francisco Office

CHICAGO and SAN FRANCISCO—December 11, 2017 RHR International (“RHR”), the premier firm in the development of top management leadership of Global 1000 companies, has appointed Charlotte Gerstner, PhD, to the position of partner in RHR’s San Francisco office.

Dr. Charlotte Gerstner brings over 20 years of experience consulting with organizations to align talent with business strategy. She possesses deep expertise in the design and application of assessments to optimize key talent decisions and in coaching for excellence at all levels. Charlotte has worked across a broad array of industries with emphasis in the life sciences and industrial sectors.

Charlotte is passionate about working with individual leaders to bring insights that help them to realize full potential in themselves and others. Clients appreciate her honest, direct style and her ability to listen deeply and to adapt her approach to their specific business and cultural context. At the organizational level, she takes a pragmatic approach to helping her clients implement the best professional practices for succession management and leadership development in a way that fits their culture and business needs.

Prior to joining RHR, Charlotte spent 16 years at Korn Ferry Hay Group where she held a number of leadership roles both domestically and globally, including three years based in Geneva, Switzerland. She was known as a thought leader in assessment and succession management and managed some of the firm’s largest global clients. In addition to assessing hundreds of individual leaders, Charlotte partnered with clients to create several large-scale succession programs, including the identification of high-potential talent, assessment and development of current and future leaders, and enablement of internal leaders to sustain the programs for the long term. Prior to Korn Ferry Hay Group, Charlotte was a senior consultant at APTMetrics in Darien, Connecticut. She started her career as a human resources associate at Xerox Corporation.

Charlotte received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and French from Louisiana State University and earned her master’s degree and PhD in industrial and organizational psychology from The Pennsylvania State University. She is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
