Karol Wasylyshyn Receives RHR Award for Excellence in Consulting Psychology

CHICAGO, February 12, 2018—RHR International (RHR), the premier firm in the development of top management leadership of Global 1000 companies, is pleased to announce that Dr. Karol Wasylyshyn has received the 2018 “RHR International Award for Excellence in Consultation.” The Society of Consulting Psychology presented the award at the Society of Consulting Psychology (SCP) midwinter conference in Savannah, GA.  

The award is considered the most prestigious honor given by the Society of Consulting Psychology, a professional association of psychologists who consult to leaders and organizations. It honors a founding member of RHR International, Perry L. Rohrer, who epitomized the standards of excellence that RHR and the SCP seek to perpetuate. The award is presented annually to an individual with an unusually distinguished career in the practice of consulting psychology.

A recognized pioneer of executive coaching, Dr. Wasylyshyn has distinguish her work on three fronts: 1) executive coaching of C-suite executives, 2) CEO succession processes and high potential development programs, and 3) advancing the application of emotional intelligence in business. A frequent speaker on the subject of executive development, she has coached hundreds of business leaders in every global sector and has been recognized by universities for her application of psychology in business. She is also widely published in her field and has written several books. Her publications focus on best practices and methodological considerations in developing high-potential talent, as well as on executive behavior as a critical dimension of leadership effectiveness. She has also been the recipient of numerous awards for her community service. Dr. Wasylyshyn’s current academic appointment is adjunct professor of Clinical Psychology, Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology at Widener University. She has been a member of the coaching faculty in The Wharton School’s Advanced Management Program and is an honorary member of the Wharton Coaches Forum.
